Sandy Pond is one of Ayer's most prized and beloved natural resources and heritage treasures; whether swimming, fishing, boating, birdwatching, dipping, sunbathing, recreating, or simply gathering with friends and family for a wonderful summer day on the shore, Sandy Pond represents Ayer at its finest.

Nice spot to take your dog. There are two fenced-in play areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. It is open from dawn to dusk and offers a terrific location for canine and human exercise and social interaction - and was definitely a CPC-assisted initiative that did not bark up the wrong tree!
