About Wilmington
Wilmington is a small city in the state of Massachusetts which is located in Middlesex County. About 20 miles from Boston. It is boarded to the south by Woburn and Burlington, west by Billerica and Tewksbury, north by Andover, and east by Reading and North Reading. It is sixteen miles north of Boston and the same distance west of Salem.
Wilmington, home to the Baldwin — for several years America's greatest export apple — and onetime center of the country's largest hops-producing region, still attracts people who live off the land, at least in part.

Wilmington is serviced by two rail stations on two different lines of the MBTA Commuter Rail, one station per branch. While the Haverhill Commuter Rail Line serves North Wilmington Station, which is two miles to the east of Wilmington Station, the Lowell Commuter Rail Line stops at Wilmington Station in the center of town. Both stations are close to Massachusetts State Route 62. For inbound travels to Boston's North Station without delays, it takes around 28 minutes from Wilmington Station on the Lowell Line and 41 minutes from North Wilmington Station on the Haverhill Line to get there. Inbound service on MBTA Bus Route 134 travels from Wilmington's southernmost extremities to Wellington Station in Medford to connect with Orange Line subway trains.
Lowell Regional Transit Authority Bus Route 12 provides weekday and Saturday service from the Lowell Commuter Rail Line’s Wilmington Station via Massachusetts State Route 38 and the neighboring town of Tewksbury to the Charles A. Gallagher Transit Terminal in the city of Lowell.
