Interstate 95 and Massachusetts State Route 128 both pass through the town twice, splitting just over the Peabody boundary. US Highway 1 and Massachusetts State Route 129 both enter the town concurrently, splitting in the southeast corner at the Lynnfield Tunnel, a local traffic landmark. No other state routes pass through the town.
Lynnfield has no MBTA Commuter Rail service; the nearest rail station is in adjacent Wakefield, which serves the Haverhill Commuter Rail Line. MBTA Bus Route 436 runs through Lynnfield's extreme southeastern corner, with a bus stop at the junction of Lynnfield Street and Lookout Terrace; the stop is just two blocks southeast of Condon Circle (sometimes referred to as Goodwin Circle).
Outbound buses serve the Northshore Mall in Peabody and the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers, while inbound buses travel to Central Square in Lynn to connect with the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail Line.
Beverly Municipal Airport is the closest general aviation airport to the east, while Boston's Logan International Airport is the closest commercial airport for domestic and international flights.
