About Watertown

Watertown is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and is part of the Greater Boston area. It is bordered on the north by the town of Belmont, and to the south by Newton and Brighton. The town's border extends south of the Charles River to encompass the neighborhood surrounding Casey Playground in Watertown Square, the town's Nexus. To the east is the city of Cambridge, which is nearly totally bordered by the well-known Mount Auburn Cemetery. Waltham, a larger city, is to the west.
