Everett is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It is bordered on the north by Malden, to the east by Revere, to the southeast by Chelsea, to the west by Somerville and Medford, and to the south by Boston and the Mystic River at Charlestown. Transportation
The City is served by eight MBTA transit lines, which include some of the busiest routes on the MBTA system. Everett Square is a small bus hub served entirely by the MBTA. From Glendale Square (Ferry Street) to Sweetser Circle, you'll find a bus lane on Broadway (MA-99).
While there are no subway stops, the nearest subway station is Wellington Station on the MBTA Orange Line subway system, which is located on the Revere Beach Parkway in adjacent Medford. The MBTA Commuter Rail station in Chelsea, as well as the SL3 stop, are both located 250 feet beyond the city's southern borders.
Route 16 is located just south of Glendale Square, providing easy access to a major highway.
US-1, which connects to Revere and the north, as well as Boston and I-93, goes just east of town, bordering the Woodlawn Cemetery.
