Danvers is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts. The area is not far from Boston and is near to the well-known beaches of Gloucester and Revere. It is bordered by Topsfield to the north, Wenham to the northeast, Beverly to the east, a small portion of Salem to the southeast, Peabody to the south and southwest, and Middleton to the northwest.

Transportation

Both Interstate 95 and Massachusetts Route 128 run through town, approximately east of their junction in Peabody. US Route 1 also runs through town, having a major interchange with Interstate 95 in the northwest corner. Route 35, Route 62, and Route 114 cross the main highways as well, with Routes 35 and 62 intersecting just north of the town center. Route 35's northern end is just over the Topsfield town boundary, where it intersects Route 97.

Numerous MBTA bus lines run through town, between Peabody and Beverly. There is no commuter rail service inside town; the MBTA Commuter Rail's Newburyport/Rockport Line runs via adjacent Salem and Beverly. Two lines of the Springfield Terminal railroad also go through Springfield, Massachusetts, joining near the town center to proceed north. The Beverly Municipal Airport's two runways run through town; the nearest regularly scheduled commercial flights are at Boston's Logan International Airport.
