The Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority bus line serves the community to some extent. The nearest rail station is in Lawrence, where the Lawrence stop on the Haverhill/Reading Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail is situated (the line actually passes through the town along the Merrimack, but there is no stop).

North Andover is also home to the Lawrence Municipal Airport, which serves the surrounding area with small aircraft. The nearest national service, at Logan International Airport and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, is thirty miles away.
