Hamilton is bordered to the north by Ipswich, on the east by Essex, on the southeast by Manchester-by-the-Sea, on the south by Wenham, and on the west by Topsfield. Hamilton includes South Hamilton, which has the zip code 01982 provided by the US Postal Service. Except for the zip code difference, "Hamilton" and "South Hamilton" are indistinguishable.
