About Nashua

Nashua is a city in southeastern Hillsborough County. It is bordered to the south by Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The eastern boundary of Nashua is formed by the Merrimack River, and the city is drained by the Nashua River and Salmon Brook, tributaries of the Merrimack. The Nashua River roughly bisects the city. It is one of several U.S. cities nicknamed Gate City, which references a reputation for being a travel gateway - in this case between the Boston region and New Hampshire.

Holman Stadium

Holman Stadium is a baseball stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire. It was built in 1937 as a multi-purpose stadium. Currently, the Nashua Silver Knights of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League play their home games here. The stadium has also been used in the past for hosting music concerts, including the likes of Tina Turner and Whitney Houston.

This is the place to go if you like to skate or play ice hockey. There is a lot going on at the Conway Arena, including freestyle skating, lessons, and competitions. In terms of ice hockey, there are both adult and junior leagues that you can watch or participate in.

Transportation

Three New Hampshire state routes and one Interstate Highway pass through Londonderry. 

 

NH 28 runs through North Londonderry, arriving from Derry in the east and exiting into Manchester in the north. When it arrives from Derry, NH 28 is known locally as Rockingham Road, and it joins with Mammoth Road near the northern terminus of NH 128.

 

NH 102 runs through South Londonderry, entering the town from Hudson in the southwest corner and exiting into Derry in the east. Locals call NH 102 Nashua Road.

 

NH 128 is the principal north-south highway through Londonderry, beginning in Windham and ending at NH 28 in North Londonderry. Locals refer to it as Mammoth Road.

 

Interstate 93 runs from south to north along the eastern edge of Londonderry. Londonderry can be reached through two exits: Exit 4 (NH 102) and Exit 5. (NH 28).
